About Israels Playground

Israels Playground opened in Thornton IL, in December 2017. This school is privately owned by Mrs. Nicole Fisher, a longtime resident of the Thornton area and an active member of the south suburban business community.

Mrs. Fisher always had a passion for childhood education. She attended Northern University studying in Early Childhood Education, obtained her BA from Chicago State University in Family Studies with a minor in Psychology. She had a desire to open a center that provided families affordable childcare with a family environment and strong academic presence.

Mrs. Fisher made her dream a reality after having her twin daughters. The opportunity presented itself to open the center that she visioned to allow her little ones to attend and extend that service to other families. Mrs. Fisher is dedicated to excellence in early care and education, the professionalism of the industry and the development of staff and teachers in the field. It is her passion for the arts and the education of young children that inspired an art integrated program introduced to children through PLAY.
